Congratulations to Rotarian Lorraine Sloane on her brilliant organising go this years Swimathon and a big thank you to all those who helped.

Bowls Afternoon vs Biddulph

Round two of Rotary intertown sporting challenges saw Congleton Rotary take on Biddulph on their home turf at Crown Green Bowling a close battle ensued seeing Biddulph take the spoils By 4 points. The afternoon was finished off with a pie and pea supper at the Egerton Arms in Astbury and both Presidents thanked everyone for taking part.





Congleton Rotary Handover Evening
Congleton Rotary’s outgoing President Brian Hogan handed over his chain of office to our incoming President Ian Robinson at our Monday meeting . This was followed by a fellowship meal attended by 25 Rotarians .
The Clubs new president elect will be Rod Goodier . Vice President Phil Robinson and treasurer will be David Worth .
Maggi Walker will remain as our ever faithful club secretary .

Royal to Congleton visit 

Congleton Rotary Prince_Charles

Maggi & Rod attended the town hall gathering on behalf of Rotary. The Royal visit was to celebrate 700 years of Mayors in Congleton. The Hall was packed with all locals from charities, business, schools etc. Prince Charles came down one side of the hall & Camilla the other. Charles stopped to speak to Maggi & Rod and asked about the Rotary work & fund raising.
